The work Kutya [dog in Hungarian] (2024) explores themes of obedience, shame and dependence. Working with the symbol of the dog, it delves into the emotional realm of childhood and adolescence to discover a more personal reading of domestication. One in which domestication and the very motif of the house, the domus, is understood as a metaphorical, psychological space; the ambiguous locus of love and care, but also of discipline and violence.
Kutya was realised with the support of Kulturverein SALETTL, the City of Vienna Culture and the district of Donaustadt.
